I though I would share the video of my car starting for the first time.

A few more things to workout then it hit's the dyno for the real tunning.

Ive been following your build on your site, what spec is that turbo and what boost will you be running - if you dont mind me asking ?

I'm currently fitting a pair of T34's to my 350 chevy although not in an Ultima sadly...

ACE mark, glad to hear you got it running.

soon be time to take it off the road, fit a low comp strocker and turn up the boost! hehe.

Lots of wiring hooking up put the computer though for sure I screwed something up. Just glad the supplied base maps where enought to get it started.

Good eye, I changed the title last night. Turbo is a T67 p-trim, .81 a/r turbo Plan on running 8 psi with methanol injection. looking for around 500rwhp

If / when the motor pop I plan to rebuild it and build it for more boost.

Congratulations Mark! Engine starting is a major milestone on your build. I remember grinning ear to ear when I heard mine run the first time......come to think of it......I'm still grinning! I'm looking forward to seeing you on the road this summer. Well done.

Congratulations Mark! I have been following your build and marveling at the craftsmanship and attention to detail you have been putting in. It's always great hearing the engine come to life on a project. Especially when you have all of the wiring you dealt with. Looking forward to your dyno results and seeing that beast on the road! I will hopefully be boosting my LS1 (not in an ultima) this year.

My in-laws are in Virgina. I may have to look you up on a visit sometime. I would love to see the car in person.

Just an updated video, car hit the dyno but because of a the wrong wastegate spring we had to stop the tuning and call it a day. it was still great to see it run.

Well Done Mark.

Looks and sounds good. I'm guessing all of that smoke was only the standard break in for the metal coatings and the turbo wrap.

The dyno run seemed to show a strong and beastly mid range power band climbing high towards redline. Should be a lot of fun, right in time for the months of sun. I know you'll enjoy. Keep the vids and pics coming. Take care. Peace.

Mark, that's great! Cool video...

I am sure you can't wait to get her on the road. You've put lots of time and $$$ into your car, to say nothing of the blood, sweat and tears. It's got to be great to know you are so close to putting the license plate on and going for that first legal blast on the street. Can't wait until I am there too.

Looking forward to seeing that beast running at the September meet in Chicago.

I got to see the car in person this past Saturday. Thanks again Mark for letting me stop by to take a look. It looks great and is still mind boggling with all that wiring and headers under the engine cover. But it all looks like it was meant to fit under there as you stated. You have come a long way with the car and will hopefully be cruising in it soon.

It definitely didn't help the fact that I REALLY want to build one of these......now where did I put that winning lottery ticket???

I am looking forward to that. If I can make it to Chicago, I can only be there Thursday and Friday. I have a bachelor party that starts Saturday morning on the golf course to attend. I totally missed the conflicting dates here...DOH! But I would like to try to be there at least for Thursday and part of Friday. Good luck finishing it up!
