Commuter cyclist insurance
Discussion
The OH cycles to work on a road bike, she’s not particularly confident but the ride is easy and has been doing it full time for over 2 years. She has now decided (don’t know why) that she wants some cycling insurance to cover her bike, a bit of injury cover and 3rd party liability. It doesn’t necessarily need to cover theft as the house has that but if it’s included I can remove it.
I’m doing a bit of research now but wondered if anyone had any recommendations?

Most of the cycling organisations include 3rd party and legal cover - CTC/CyclingUK, British Cycling, London Cycling Campaign, etc. Membership doesn't usually cost much more than buying the cover, and that's all I bother with.
Wiggle have got into insurance, and they do an "assist" policy that covers 3rd party as well as personal accident cover. Once you start getting into theft cover it gets pricey, normally 10% pa of the bike's value as a starting point.
