Porsche 996 2001 radio problem

Hi,
I have a CDR22 radio/cd player fitted to my porsche 996, which works perfectly untill i start the engine when the radio immediately turns off ,turn engine off radio works perfectly any ideas ????

My guess would be that the permanent live and the switched live wires have been reversed. Make sure you have the code before you pull the radio out

Do you mean the radio works when the ignition is in position 1, but not in position 2..?

Has the radio always worked, or has it just started to exhibit this fault..?

Have you changed anything else on the car..?
