Self Publishing/POD - good respources?

Hi all, can anyone point me in the right direction of some good resources regarding self publishing and print on demand please?

I've received a couple of books from Kickstarter projects that were published via Amazon's Print On Demand service, they seem as well printed as 'normal' books.

Probably as good a place as any to start.
