Browsing ebay I came across quite a nice type 23 which has had the Lotus bespoke trimming treatment.

One thing I noticed was that the speedo wasn't a stack unit and has SHURLOCK splashed across it. I thought all elises, vx's had stack units, Im not thinking of buying this car but was curious to what it was, anythign to do with the 160bhp conversion this cars had?

Pic here.

The supplier of the instrument pack was changed from Stack to Shurlok (a South African company) a number of years ago. The first packs they made for Lotus had their name on it. They are still the supplier for all packs (Elise, Exige, VX) but their name is no longer on the front face of the pack. Stack have not supplied instrument packs to Lotus for a few years now.

Hi all,
My last 03 S2 Elise is fitted with Shurlock, and
I found either speedo and tacho much more unaccurate
than Stacks fitted on my previous cars, resetting
the Ecu had cured it a bit though
