Recommend an SUV/4wd for about £20k or under

I'm starting to research what car to replace my 2003 RR L322.
My budget will be around £20k. Either Diesel or Petrol but bear in mind I will only cover circa 3000 miles per year.
Five doors, lift up tailgate, less than 5 years old, reliable.
If I think of anything else to add I will.
So far I'm looking at late Freelander 2's, second hand Evoques or Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I'd love a RR Sport but the ones I can afford are too old. For once I want to drive a modern(ish) car.

Do you need proper 4wd offroad capability as a lot of SUVs won't give you that even though they're 4wd? If thats not a concern, my dad's just picked up a delivery mileage 4wd Ford Kuga with the 180bhp diesel for around that money. Probably wouldnt be my first choice but it looks quite smart and is well specced with powered boot lift, pano sunroof, self parking etc as well as the usual kit.

Putting it like that yes I do need proper capability. I guess this narrows the search down.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
