Hy Guys! I'm Roy from Holland and like to share my project on here!
I have always owned Audi's so far and they are great cars but not really exited in corners. Last year i bought a C5 RS6 with broken gearbox as a project which i fixed and enjoyed for a while. At the end of the summer i sold the car. Didn't plan on buying a other car as a replacement for the RS6 as i already own a project car but things got out of hand pretty quickly and now i own a 00' MR2 and a MK5 R32 engine
Always liked the ZZW30 MR2 and when i saw a very nice own for not a lot of money i could not resist and bought it. After the big Audi i really enjoyed the MR2! Superb car but the engine didn't do it for me. So very soon after i bought the car i know the engine needs to go. Of course there are some swaps in this car that already been done. The most easy swap for more power would be swapping the 140hp 1.8 engine for the 190hp 1.8 engine out of a Celica T-sport. But again its a 4 cylinder and a little tolow on power. Most important thing i like to add to this car is emotion. So engine sound is very important for my. As i already own a very fast road car i don't care about a lot of idiotic power. Something between 200 and 300 hp should be fine for this car. As I'm a big fan of 5 cylinder engines i looked in to that first. I didn't want this car to be turbocharged for now so the only 5 cylinder that would maybe fit was the new VW 2.5 FSI 5 cylinder engine. But not enough power and i don't like FSI. So a 6 cylinder then. Toyota 6 cylinder have already been swapped in this car but i don't think they sound special enough. So i ended up with the R32 VR6 engine and VW 6 speed gearbox for this swap. Engine makes 250hp and lots of torque and sounds amazing!
