Hey guys

I have automotive ADD. I have just had to work out for the tax man that I have owned 31 cars in 15 years. In that time I have tried to go through all of the most awesome cars of the 80s, 90s and 00s, typically having 3-5 at a time, and once I figure they were never as good as promised or needing the money, have got bored and let them go.

I have done everything from a Ferrari 348, 930 Turbos and NSX, to rusty Integra Type-Rs and 106 rallyes.

I now have just a Prius for ferrying the baby around, and a second car shaped hole in my life.

It needs to be 4 door and have isofix seats in the back, and be at least 10 years old. Budget it unlimited, and petrol is no concern as we only poodle around. It has to be the kind of car that car-people see and go "woah that is cool".

My wife's current thinking is a 2000s Quattroporte (maybe retrofitting isofix points) or another E39 M5. My current thinking is a Bentley Arnage, ideally in a disgusting colour.

It can't be an Audi or any other BMW because I don't like tailgaiting, which is mandatory in those.

Any thoughts??

Oooooooooh a g wagon! I did not think of that. Ideally it would have to be a brabusy one for maximum oligarch/wag look. A V12 would be too new so falls down on that.

A Defender maybe?

Range Rovers are out as I have had one and it was super-flakey.

Definitely older than 10 years old but:

Citroen DS, won't have Isofix but if you were going to aftermarket fit them to a quatroporte this would be a chunk easier....

A C6 is also suitably alternative to condier?

Beyond that how about an Alfa Romeo 156 GTA? - can't see any for sale currently though....

No idea about retro-fitting Isofix, but Lotus Carlton would be way up there on the cool scale...
