Hi

The manual says that there is a manual switch in the glove box. I've searched for it and can't find it. Am I being an idiot or is the manual incorrect?

Thanks

It was a cost option - if you can't see it you haven't got it. It can be retrofitted (luckily - unlike on Panamera) involves some wiring; a switch and a recline block on the passenger seat (it limits the travel on the seat).

Around 3.5hrs labour + the retrofit kit.

As said - an option. You have to have the Isofix kit on the front passenger seat and the airbag switch comes with it.

I had retrofitted for £800 from OPC. Isofix kit includes top centre console with warning light that it's turned off.

Thanks, not sure if it's worth £800 to me right now. It's nice to be able to sit one of the two kids at the front when there's three of us but £800 is a lot of money and as mentioned above it restricts the movement of the seat.

Of course I have no intention of breaking the law or endangering my kids but I wonder how far forward the bag inflates? If the seat is far back enough I'm assuming the airbag won't reach the occupant?

Yeah was a bit steep, was a panic buy after my wife had said "if you can't get 2 kids in that car it's going straight back and I'm not joking.." after I'd put the deposit down. In the end I didn't need it, can get a 3 YO behind me (and I'm 6ft 3) in a group 1 seat (brittax) and rear facing maxicosi behind passenger seat. Does make front passenger un-usable but was never a car for family outings more emergency nursery pickups etc. Can't help re airbag q I'm afraid but personally wouldn't risk it.
