British GT Launch
Cars gather at Silverstone in readiness for season
The British GT Championship was officially launched this week with many of the teams attending Silverstone for a run out on track in front of the cameras.
Under the guidance of the Stefan Ratel Organisation (SRO), the British GT series is now adopting FIA GT style classifications with cars running in GT2 and GT3 categories.
The format this year will be two one hour races over the course of each weekend. Qualifying will consist of two 15 minute sessions with both drivers required to set times.
Many campaigners from last year have returned and we can expect more cars to join the series than attended this week.
With TVR Tuscans bumped off the timetable, this year's British GTs will be accompanied by Ginetta racing, MINIs, Caterhams and VWs.

I want the Z3 M Coupe, that is a SERIOUS machine, anyone know where to find specs for that particular car?
Enlarge the picture and you will see the web address for www.bigfishracing.co.uk
We are also running a Z3M Coupe GT EX Bathurst 24hr 2002 and 2003, it,s being re-built by Colin Blower Motorsport and stage one will be finished only days before the first race. She will be ready to race at Donington, but we will not have a chance to test her before the race weekend, fingers crossed then !! Stage two will be completed by the end of May, then we can take it to them. See;
