Carnewal PSE failure - installation advice
Discussion
My Carnewal PSE remote switching unit recently stopped working. I did some diagnostics and eventually found the cable that comes from the PSE unit had dropped down behind the block and had come into contact with something rather hot, as the wires had melted right through! There was a lot of slack cable when I fitted it and I thought I'd secured it all appropriately, but obviously not.
So a word of warning, be careful with the wiring if you're fitting one of these, or check your wiring if you've recently fitted one.
It is a fantastic piece of kit though, and Gert at Carnewal is brilliant. He answered my email straight away with lots of advice. I just should have been a bit more careful in the first place
(sorry, the roll eye emoticon was supposed to be at the end of my post, I can't edit or remove it from the forum list)
