With intentions to fit new front wheel tyres on my daughter in-law’s Evoque 2012, I searched for the car’s security wheel nut key, in where I thought the spare wheel might be kept, only to find a tyre pressure gauge and a canister of gunk. I personally would not want to drive any distance without a spare wheel , what are your thoughts.

Also the tyre company fitting the new tyres, state that the new front wheel tyres should be fitted to the rear of the vehicle, and the present rear wheel tyres fitted to the front of the vehicle, again what are your thoughts, thanks.

The gunk is useless IME.

Spare wheel all the way.

Spare wheel for me too. Eldest son had a tyre valve break off whilst checking tyre pressures on his Megane Sport. Only comes with cans of gunk (in a wheel well that can take a full size wheel) so what should have been a simple fix required a breakdown call out.

Agree with above - spare wheel for me and I paid the optional extra when I speccd my Evoque in 2013. Rather be driving on a thin space saver than on a tyre full of gunk. Gunk also doesn't really help when the tyre is shreaded

Spare wheel was specced for our 2016 Evoque. Gunk is useless.

If you do use it for a temporary puncture fix the tyre repairer won't touch a tyre filled with foam and gunk.
