Hi all, new to the forums and just looking for some feedback really. I am looking to have an inspection done on a target purchase and wanted to have a professional inspection done. I've contacted Porsche Inspections in MK (Anthony) and they certainly seem to know their stuff (I recognise that I am not qualified to tell one way or the other) :-) and are really engaged and helpful. It's not the cheapest inspection around but I'm hoping it's the best - most critical of the car and most thorough! I am sure they would not mind me asking in the forums about them and I would expect that they probably contribute actively to it but was wondering whether anyone out there had used them and would be willing to provide some feedback? I've had a bit of a hunt around the forums and can't find any info so was hoping someone may have some feedback. Company directors are listed as Anthony Shearer and Robert Spratley - just in case the names mean anything to anyone as opposed to the business name. If you have any experience of using them then please feed back. Thanks in advance! No offence at all intended for Anthony, Robert or porscheinspections, who I have so far found excellent in every way.
Well, I will try and answer that
I used them when buying my 996.... very good on the mechanical side (spotted all the problems I needed to address without excessive nitpicking - local independent didn't find anything additional that needed doing) and knowledgeable about market prices etc, repair costs for the items on the list so overall helped me to save money.
From my personal experience they were worth the money I spent, because of the specific knowledge they had about the marque and individual models (down to variations per year and UK spec versus import).

Bob Spratley is a PCGB member and attended the local region meetings when I was RO there and after. Owned a series of Porsches over the years, even retro'd a 1980's 911 to the early pre-impact bumper look - did a very elegant job too. Has worked doing Porsche vehicle inspections for a good number of years all over the place, though I've never had cause to use him. Nice, sensible, chap. No, I'm not on commission!!!
