Just received a boot spoiler from the USA for my Mustang
Very expensive delivery cost as much as the spoiler.
The goods were then held by Parcelforce until I paid £36.00 UK custom charge.
I was told by the delivery driver if you ask the sender to declare the goods as second hand or a gift its customs charges free.
A tip to remember.

You may find its VAT, recently my son bought two T shirts from an American site, had to pay VAT when it arrives.
My daughter in Seattle sent her sister-in-law in U.K, some presents for their baby, had to pay VAT this end
Cant think of the figure now, but you don't pay duty until it's over a laid down figure.

There are 4 levels of postage
3 levels with the USPS and the top level with Fed EX
The Ford store use Fed EX around $50 but very quick service
USPS 3rd level which is held at the post office but you don't even get a card sometimes (had a item wait a month then get sent back)
USPS 2nd level this is held and you do get a card telling you the item is there level 2 and 3 you do have to pay charges
USPS 1st level, items get sent straight to you, no extra fees, and I am talking trunk mat, heavy metal dress up caps, this one company always send by 1st level and its a brilliant service
The problem with USPS is once the item arrives in the UK it is sent to either parcel force or just the post office depending on the level sent from the US
