IWC Pilot watch (IW377701/09)
Discussion
Anyone have one of these?

I'm looking for something for daily use (also considering a Tudor Black Bay or a Rolex Sub)
I do really like the look of it, but not sure if it's too big? (The Portugieser Chronogrpah I have is 40.9mm).

Yup, I got one of these for my 30th. Now have it on an aftermarket leather strap with a deployment clasp. The IWC leather strap wore out quite quick and is suitably pricey to replace. I do have an IWC bracelet strap to go with if I feel like it.
Main problem is user error in that I occasionally forget to swap to my beater watch (Seiko MT-G) at the weekends when I'm usually doing something to the house that could damage the watch. Also, the IWC has picked up a tendency to lose time a bit more than I'd like. Must get it serviced (at a sensible cost).
Very nice watch that I can't see myself getting rid of it.

At 43mm and with little bezel it will wear big. Thank goodness IWC has gone back to the single date window. The (much-copied) altimeter style date window will, I believe, go down in history as a bit of a design mistake.
I have the 42mm Spitfire Chrono (3717 series) and it will fit under a cuff but it depends which strap I fit. With the OEM strap and buckle it fits well. With a deployant fitted, not so much

I have one of these, Christmas present from the Wife several years ago. Metal bracelet, super comfortable and you barely know you are wearing it (unless you make a sudden hand movement and then you can hear the movement spin which is very nice). Mine is a daily beater and yet to have it serviced but it is now losing a bit of time so will be sending it off soon. Brilliant watch.
