It looks like I need a couple of tyres on the 500 and the alignment/tracking sorted - is there anywhere good in Coventry? Ideally somewhere that will be open tomorrow morning.

If you still need somewhere, I use Silverline in Warwick.

Thanks. I've heard good things about them, and will take my cars there if they need anything tyre/alignment wise. However, as this was just the wife 500, I took it to Spon End Tyres, as they're the nearest independent. A good traditional backstreet tyre place - pleasingly rough around the edges, they sorted it for £20.

I think Spon End Tyres also have a posh place @ Bermuda Park with a Hunter machine.

There's also Britannia tyres not far away in Coventry- also ( last time I was in there) another of ye olde tyre places.

IMO only two places are worth going to, maybe 3.

-BT Tyres in Rugby . He can sort you out for tyres as well. Speak to Ross and say that Chas sent you. He is a very switched on person.
-Spires, Leamington Spa. He can't fit tyres but he can align cars and does so for a few race outfits.
-ProTyre in Warwick. They are not cheap for adjustments but I've had better results from them in Warwick than Silverline.

I also heard that Spon End Tyres do alignment with a Hunter machine. They are reasonable on tyre prices too.

This thread just came up as I was Googling where to get a 4-wheel alignment done on my wife's car rolleyes

I'm not too keen on the place I used last time after they fitted tyres on my MR2 and sent me home with 50psi in all the tyres and a lot of oversteer on greasy December roads.

Finally got this done at the weekend, although from the print out it seems like they have only changed the front wheels, as rears are still out of spec. Rear tyre wear was the main reason for getting the alignment.

My wife took the car, so didn't compare the before/after specs on the print out.
