LPG conversions on 4200's!
Discussion
Do not do it.
I had a guy buy my 430 Maserati off me that had a cool 400 BHP from the back wheels. Blow diff up at donington trackday it was so quick.
Anyway. This guy in Brighton bought my 430 Bi-turbo from me and decided to convert it to LPG. Well he kept e-mailing about problems he was having with the engine. No wonder *£$"^&!!!
The car lost all its power, they are standard @ 250 BHP which when on LPG went to just under 200 BHP. The car idled rough etc. The worst thing you can do to turbo car that has been modified with performance upgrades.
In the end he did not really any money on fuel because it ran crap and was always in the garage for engine repairs....
You don not buy a quick car and then worry about the fuel gauge. Just fill it and enjoy life. You only leave once. Buy a cheaper car for a run about in.
