The bolts on my 97 boxster are absolutely all rusted etc. Anyone got some for sale or know where I can get hold of some good second-hand ones?

Errrr, don't buy second hand wheel bolts unless you are a pikey!

They cost about £1.79 each brand new from Porsche.

Ring AFN parts or somewhere. They take credit cards and mail out for you.

No, definitely not a pikey but the last time I spoke with someone I was quoted about £5+vat and I'd rather spend £94 on a good night at the Dollhouse. Will give AFN a call though, thanks.

Just checked with Porsche and they're quoting £4.81ea, maybe it's the nuts used on other models that are £1.80

My mistake, nuts were 1.79, bolts are likely to be a fiver.

As a safety-oriented component, I'd always by new to be on the safe side. Second hand ones will be just as rusty at a guess, anyway.

For ultimate pikeyness, you could just paint them with some hammerite or something.

How can they be rusty - All 'modern' Porsches I've ever seen have Alloy ones which shouldn't rust. Is that a part they skimped on with the Boxster then?

OR, you could paint then the same colour as the car OR the interior. A full pike-o-rama.

stupid question really don't know why I'm bothered about £90, guess just hate forking out for something I think of as a fault. And the full pikey would just nick them probably (or nick mine and sell them back to me).
