Time of year to buy 2nd hand LR products?
Discussion
Hi, Am basically aware of the pros and cons but not been following them in particular so wondering if LR vehicles, much like convertibles/sports cars fluctuate in value with the seasons?
I've spotted a D3 that looks like it'll serve a purpose and has been blessed with all the right service items (ie- everything Not on LR's list but the "infamous" items that need doing/servicing has been done) as such it's IMO right at the top end of the acceptable price bracket, I was wondering if that's because its almost November?

I suspect the price difference is mostly tiny in any case. Sure, if we suddenly get a lot of snow you might find a 4x4 more easy to sell and might be able to add a few hundred quid on, but it's not as if they are in short supply....
And if you are buying to keep for a bit, it matters not at the end of the day.

Thanks, this one has a degree of stealer tax anyway but I wondered if there was a big seasonal shift- I certainly felt it was worthwhile buying a convertible (have had 2, both bought Jan-Feb with ease :-) at the opportune moment, one we resold in August for a 30% premium, person who bought it was delighted!
Going for a test drive at lunch time, the dream might be over by mid-afternoon as could be a bucket of nails/unloved, have requested to view all paperwork (that could seal/break the deal) stationary first impressions where good, age related wear of steering wheel and faded trim on side steps but otherwise A1 with visibly new suspension arms and recent 105 service.
