...during I'm a Celebrity - Get me outta here! Tiff Needall talking about a Porsche magazine in which you get a die-cast model with each issue. 911 Turbo in the first....

Who's tempted?

Not really - looking at them you'd swear they were finised in varying colours of Hammerite.

Like all these 'collectables' magazines 1st one £1.99 then the other 39 (or how ever many there are going to be) £4.99, did anyone ever see the titanic one, it would cost you about £90.00 to build it, I'm sure there are better deals to be had in your local model shop

i knew someone who did one of these things once, collecting Mash videos, first one was 1.99 and then after that they were 6.99 or so.
Trouble is, there are 700 or so episodes and only 3 episodes per tape, which means 230 or so tapes at 7 quid each. You do the math!

Nasty eh?

I had a whole Renault 12 finished in Hammerite once...apart from the roof where you could see the yellow paint in streaks where the Hammerite wasn't thick enough.

Nice.

Well, I may be sad but I got the first edition and I'm suitably impressed, the car is a 996 Turbo, detail isn't too bad and the brochures are pretty cool too! SO THERE

Actually I thought about looking at that mag, after my wife jeeringly went on about having to buy it for the toy car, although after sitting through half of that waste of time Celeb' program i'd have dashed out on the premise of getting "Peoples Friend" for me Mum Yea, no really, the stories and crochet patterns are top notch...pah.
