Anyone know what the factory did to the standard 930 Turbo to get the increase in power to 330bhp?
Steve.

Bit more fuel, bit more boost, same as pretty much every turbo car manufacturer gets more power.

Knowing Porsche it was probably a high cost small gains approach. If you look at the X engine that was available for the 965 turbo it cost a whopping 10k more but only increased bhp by 25 hp. You can get more through a £400 1 bar spring.... I actually believe that there was quite a bit of work done on the inlet side (that's what they did for the turbo s) and head work. Steve I guess your best bet is a k27 turbo /Turbo 2 intercooler/1 bar/induction/headers/no muffler. There must be at least 60-80 bhp in that lot.

1 bar boost spring £400!! flippin' 'eck who did you buy it from they only cost the stockists about £12!! they can be a bugger to fit though but even so including a days labour assuming you dont fit it your self (worst case) at say £300 ie 40£hr x 8hrs its still well expensive

The spring from Porsche is about £115, the rest is labour and parts that break in the process. The labour varies quite dramatically depending on the state of various bolts...
I have quotes from JZM and G-force all in the same ball-park...
