unusual for me to post this here - but there is a colleague of mine here who has a GTiR for sale. Highly modified, for 4.5K. About 300 horse by all account, with tons of extras.

Think it's for a quick sale, so 4K would most likely get it. J plate, new turbo this year, spare set of wheels, make a good track day, or budget hooligan...

If anyone is interested I'll post his phone number up here later.

What kind of damage are you looking at for the insurance? I have a Saxo VTR and am paying about £700 fully comp. I will be selling the car soon so I would think about something like a GTiR if it wasn't too expensive to insure.

Or I could stick to my original plan and take my bike test!

Cheers

Think you'd be looking at about that.
Location is Essex.
I've not been in the thing, but have seen it in action from a distance. It corners very very flat, and pulls from tickover to the red.
Seriously it'll be gone by Monday - if I hadn't blown so much dosh on the Yank truck, I'd be tempted to buy it to trailer to tracks.

If you are paying £700 on a Saxo VTR you are likely to be paying about 2k on a GTiR. I know because I had one

What colour is it? What sort of condition? What are the wheels like? What modifications has it actually had done?

And as you can see I miss it and would like another

ok, lowered adjustables. Newish.
17 inch wheels.
Set of 14's. Set of Snow tyres.
Hybrid turbo,whater that is. I don't do cars !!
Dark blue paint.
Loads more bits (Blitz tuning?), I will have to get him to post here, or to leave a phone number.

Seems pretty good for the year body wise, mechanically I know it is practically perfect.

Yeah, insurance will be high, but whatelse could you buy that can beat 95% of all new cars, for 4K ???!

Hey, I'm getting no commission for this, so this is my unbiased opinion before you start to wonder !

I'll check back here later, if you're still interested, leave a post on this thread.

I put one on my nissan 200sx, it's normally a standard turbo housing (a T28 on the gtir I think) with a larger compressor wheel and a stronger bearing. These are 750 quid from norris designs so well worth having imo.
