Just had a mail to say that a lot of Haymarket stuff has been bought out by Motorsport Network. Does this include PH?

OK, says PH 'unaffected' by sale. Was hoping for someone to fix it... wink

How much is PH actually worth? Could we crowd fund the purchase of it? biggrin

PH had a lot of potential. For a start look at the lease thread advertiser would pay a lot to have targeted adverts. And that is jus the start of monetising the forums.

I wonder how much investment we get from Haymarket. We used to have active involvement from Garlick and Stuart. Since they left their seems to be no serious interest from anyone senior, and I suspect that the staff of PH also have other Haymarket responsibilities....

I am aware that updates take place in the background, content gets produced, but the core of PH is the forums - they appear to my eyes to have remained unchanged over the last 15 years.

How much investment is needed to keep the site running smoothly and how much did Haymarket pay to buy out Ted?

Let's be fair. They rebuit the Search engine at least once, and created a few more spaces for ads.

I think it used to cost a GT3 plus a bit. It's probably gone up a bit since then though.
