gen v comments or advice please

just wondering how the gen v drives compared to the gen 2 and 3

both my 97 and 99 gts and my brothers gen 3 viper suffered from low speed bucking ?

other than the ACR car are there any good ones for sale in the UK as the pound is too weak to import. thanks.

Low speed bucking on early gens is smoothed out by changing engine and trans mounts, sorted mine out

As for Gen Vs for sale here! Don't think there is any chance at the moment. You might want to try the German / Swiss Vipers for sale area, there are a couple of Gen Vs over there.
Tom Hartley has a Gen v ACR for sale but as usual dealer mark up (might be because its a really rare one) 'Automatic' according to the PH advert

this GenV GTS has been for sale for a while at a Jeep dealership, it was at £84K early on

thanks for the help, the launch edition is a 2013 and the engine recalls do worry me.

do you know what it is worth and has anyone here viewed it?

the Jeep GTS is more desirable due the extra bits included over a standard GT, and SRT model.
I guess you can only work from US prices and add all taxes, IVA is easy on a Gen5

haven't heard of anyone viewing it, though at £84 you wouldn't be to far off a decent US priced Gen5 on the road in the UK
I guess any recalls work would be done, and they would give you some warranty

Thought you had a buyer for that? You could always bring it down to the Fairmile Hotel Cobham Tomorrow Evening and try and entice a few Corvette owners

I had a px lined up, but it's not the best deal for me so I will wait for a proper buyer, shouldn't be too long I hope the car is fantastic. Tempted to keep it really but can't get into a gen v acr without selling it to be honest.

The one I drove in Charlotte was light years ahead in build quality spec..

Drivabilty was very good I was lucky enough to drive one at the Chelsea Proving ground in Detriot.. very smooth and tame at lower RPM ... Scalded cat at higher RPM...

I've had the pleasure of driving every gen viper and currently own a 2015 GenV GTC. This car is night and day in terms of handling and low to high speed drivability. There is NO low speed bucking. Now I don't know if this is because I have a few mods like the Arrow Controller and a UD Pulley, but I didn't notice anything with the 1600 mile drive form Ohio to Viperexchange(parts installed) in Texas before putting it in a container to be shipped. My gen 2 had low speed bucking before I put a Paxton S/C(905BHP) on it, but afterwords it was really bad at low speeds.

GenV to Gen2/3 is like comparing a 1985 M3 to a 2016 M3. The car still has the same visceral acceleration feel but all other aspects of the car are on an other playing field. It has no problem diving into a roundabout at full tilt hugging a 458 spider's bum as this was performed many times on the way to Beaulieu supercar show. 145mph has the same feeling as 80mph, even in the corners.

My car will be for sale in mid 2018 as I have plans for a 2017 ACR.

Owned a Gen 2 and 3, but drove a Gen 5. I think you can't compare Gen 5 with a 2, it's day and night difference. Handling and power curve on 5 way better than 3.

Gen IV and V drive very similar depending on model and spec ...
TA and ACR drive different again due to harder suspension
