May be it's just me then.

But......both are have amazingly low bodies enveloping the wheels. Checkout the sills, both have triangulated cuttaways. Both have sliding canopies (although you can't see it on the Masser).

I'm not saying you'd mistake one for the other, but they do have similarities.

Oh and both were done by Pininfarina.

And both are white

....and there's a hint of the Audi Avus too in the Maser - remember the polished aliminium show car - shame they never made one - but I remember being blown away by the cab forward stance.....
