I've just had a set of Quickilver rear sports boxes fitted to my 3200GT. Maserati quoted £1300 for their mild-steel boxes, these come in much cheaper and are 100% stainless with 25 years guarantee.

They're much smaller in volume and have twin circular rather than oval pipes.
The original note/grumble is the same, just much more of it. Can be annoying when just pottering down the street as it's very much on/off with the sensitive throttle......but as the revs rise.....fantastic.
Also - the turbos seems to kick in a little earlier, could be something to do with less back-pressure?

Fair point, I've been thinking of what to do when my rear silencers are passed their sell by date.
I have been a bit concerned about the noise being over the top, as I have had that experience with a previous car.
Its the deep throb at low revs I'm a little concerned about.

Hey Dutchy,
I know what you mean.
You spend all that money on the boxes and then the sound is not quite right .
The difficult part is some of these companies are unable to supply clips of the sounds , which I think are essential if seling exhausts on the internet.
