I usually do. And will do again this time. I think you might get "paddock transfer" free if you buy in advance. Clearly they want ot sell tickets in advance because on rainy days people don't come unless they have already bought a ticket.

Oh yes - I think you can get a grandstand ticket in advance too - which is nice if it rains as its semi-covered.
