It's Christmas Time....... Time to organise meal

And here the usual debate starts......
As a "Club" (VOA UK) for those UK Paid up members, the committee has a responsibility to be working on their behalf to locate a venue and find out what they would like? A meal in a Pub and toodle off home or a Dinner / music/ dance party venue with accommodation so no one has to worry about Drinking and Driving in December.
Once we get feedback from the members on what they would like (via email) the committee can attempt to book a venue, then offer it out to members and non members alike, Club discounts applying.
I have no problem with non VOA UK members attending but as a VOA Committee member our job is to put the paid up members first (Always).
An email should be going out to members shortly to gauge interest and we will then go from there
Last year the official members Christmas party took place at the Dolphin Hotel in cambridge. Those that attended all had a great time.
I know some members chose not to go, and that's fine (these events are not for everyone) you guys organised your own venue for a meal with friends, but Baz started this thread and is Vice President of the Club so that is why my response was to email members first
