...is a hundred years old today apparently.
Out of all the watch makers Sinn is probably my favourite (for everyday, practical watches) I think; Lowther Schmidt (ex-IWC) is carrying the torch quite well too and Guinand (Sinns other company) should always be on peoples radar when considering good quality, good value chronographs.
Here're mine:

Loads of classics in the back-catalogue; the copper 356, the blue Aktis, the tank U1, the EZM line, the 142s, the Hydro, the classic but ever varied 103 line-up etc etc.
Watcha got or watcha had...?

I've just found out I've inherited a little bit more than anticipated from my Mum's estate. I'd love to buy an Omega to go with my late Dad's 1956 Seamaster, but I can't afford that much (I know I'm going to take a depreciation hit whatever I buy, because I want new).
I'd also like a Dornblüth, but they're out of my price bracket too!
So I've settled on a Sinn 857 UTC on the bracelet. I just need to find one for a try on now. I may have to have a weekend in Germany...
