Registering/Owning a Classic Car in Abu Dhabi - For Expats!
Discussion
Hi guys,
I may have asked this question on here before...if so, apologies!! I did have a quick look and it wasn't in the last 60 days!!
Anyway, I've been on the lookout for a classic US muscle car for years now...and there's one I'm going to see this weekend.
I know I can buy it for export purposes...but does anyone know if I can get a Mukria from Abu Dhabi and insure and drive it myself here?
My next move is to go ask the police! But I wondered if anyone on here happens to know...
Thanks,
J.

The gent who runs Tomani Classics seems like a good bloke maybe stop by and see what level is wasta is needed to register a classic on a 'normal' plate - as they have done for theirs.
As far as I know the only official route for us foreigners is to join the Sharjah Car club and register the car through them.
