Australian Muscle Car magazine

Just picked up this magazine and it mentions your meets at Ace Cafe in it! It includes a few pictures, sent in by a fellow with a VP Wagon. No HSV's in it!
Does have 2 Chargers and an XB Coupe in it.
Main story is about the HDT Dayglo Orange Group C VK Commodore.
Pretty good magazine to read about the older cars from before I permanently reached these shores. I especially like the old cars that they try and locate.
I am pretty sure a couple of you guys pick this magazine up!

That was a good letter in AMC from Matt Hollingsworth of the MMA.
Reason there were no HSVs in it is that the photos were from last year, before the HSV takeover of the event :-)
Regarding the VK Group C Day-Glo cars. The one that came to the U.K. was for sale in Autosport magazine back in 1988 or 1989, with spare engine, gearbox, axle (etc) for about £8000. A friend and I, brought up on Bathurst tapes, were going to buy it, but didn't. Drat.
Same thing happened with TWR's prototype VL Group A car. It was for sale in 'Classic American' about six years ago. It wasn't painted silver, but a strange sort of very light metallic pink. Was for sale for about £5000. But it was too far to travel (Englandshire) and the funds weren't readily available. Drat again.

Hi Wayne
G'day mate. No die casts lately. Looked at Carlectables & Gateways sites recently and surprised at the price rise.Tried eBay,and Trade Me in NZ too and they fetch good money there as well.
CCs are getting really good these days. Almost up to Biante standard. Really not a lot between them now.Exchange rate not all that at the mo'.
Got some nice fridge magnets from pals in Brisy. They do Skaifeys'Commodore, a yellow Monaro and some classic Holdens too. Try sushipunkdottcom or www.stores.ebay.com/synthesizers
or just fridge magnets. $4.99 AUD + $2 p&p
They also do some superb magnets of Yank muscle,
Pontiac GTO and Firebird,General Lee,Challenger and some Chargers ads.
Enjoy the 500 mate, know you will.
Envious or what!
