Someone using my phone number...

It looks like someone is using my mobile phone number. I have had several calls for Philip Stuart (not me) who mainly sorry and go away when I say I'm not him. Just had a txt from vivalavoucher.co.uk thanking Philip for registering.

Should I be worried about this and/or do something? I was ignoring it as noise, but it's got to the level where am thinking mmmmm, what's happening. I thought it was just cold calling with the cold caller just asking for any old name, but the same any old name keeps coming up! Anyone else had this?

Maybe Philip has just got a new number similar to yours but has remembered it incorrectly.

I don't think anything can be done with just a phone number except premium rate messages but you'd know about those if you were getting them.

I suspect it's the produce a a web site insisting on the user providing a telephone number. Often it's tempting to give a wrong or made-up number.
