Watch battery replaced - water ingress.
Discussion
Watch : Tissot , 34 months old , water resistant to 200m
Battery replaced 4 weeks ago by a local jeweller, they are a smallish shop not a chain.
Went swimming last weekend and noticed the watch face fogging up.
Watch was fine when swimming before the battery replacement.
Monday brought it back to the shop and the manager was very defensive. Denying all responsibility and saying they had done nothing different to any other place. Even went to the extent of saying that taking the back of the watch off had no bearing on water ingress at the front!
After a lot of arguing they agreed to look into it.
Still no contact as of Thurs.
Any advice before I go back?

Went to Timpsons last weekend with two watches. One was a dress watch and the other had a 30m waterproof rating. They charged extra to retain the waterproofing (either a seal change or just an extra to cover them if it was no longer waterproof) with a one year guarantee. To me that gives tacit agreement to changing a battery affecting the waterproof rating of a watch if it's not done properly.
