Was just wondering what would be best for a 7. I have a 1930's style house with a single brick garage attached to the house. It is a little bit cold and damp in there, but nothing too bad. Used to keep my Elise in there with just a cover and it seemed to be fine.

Just wondering what the best option is to preserve a 7?

Thanks

If there is any damp I wouldn't use a normal car cover. Either a rigid framed Carcoon or my preference is an Airchamber would help protect the car from condensation and dust. They cost very little to run.

Thanks for this. The price difference between a classic additions cover and a carcoon isn't that much either

I have been using a desiccant dehumidifier in my garage (which was previously a bit cold and moist) especially as the 7 shares it with my SCUBA gear (wet) and Cycling stuff (sweaty) and I swapped out the drafty door for an electric roller shutter which is near as possible air tight as I can get.

The dehumidifier gets the room down below 60% most of the time while adding 5-10degrees above ambient outside temp, it also has a filter which does a good job of hoovering up airborne particles.

I don't have the car covered at all but after 6months no sign of any rusty bloom and dust is minimal- although frequent driving blows any away.

Not sure if that's a valid solution to your issue but I am a dehumidifier convert, it also makes occasional trips into the house to suck washing dry :-)
