Canada drive holiday and finish at New York
Discussion
Hi
I'm starting to look at planning a 3 week trip from the uk
I'm looking to hopefully hire a Dodge Charger to visit
Some family in Canada and then would like to fly over to New York
To spend last few days there before flying home.
I'm unsure about the rules but am I able to fly to Toronto and then fly back
Home from New York.
Also looking for hire car company's that rent dodge chargers.
Thank you

No problem with doing this, as mentioned above you'll need an ESTA (https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/)
Watch out for the one way fees though, the airline will likely charge you as if you were taking 2 x one way flights... you may actually find it cheaper to fly to and from Canada and just take a return flight to New York, alternately why not drive?
I drove from Manhattan to Toronto a few years ago, it's no big deal and the scenery is lovely for much of the way.

If you are entering the US by land (i.e. driving, not flying) then you don't need an ESTA, but you will have to fill in an I-94W form at the border. This is a green slip of paper which is stapled into your passport and must be handed back when you leave. There is also a $6 charge for the privilege.
I've travelled to the US a few times by land from Canada and have never had an ESTA. That said, if you don't mind applying for an ESTA ahead of time, it would speed up the border-crossing process.
