As per my other thread. I was left a few older watches last year but have decided to get them sorted and sold to return any funds to my aunt who could use it tbh.

Along with the vintage breitling was this lovely Omega Seamaster. Can anyone identify the year possibly and advise what best to do with it (who to service/ clean etc) Without wiping out any value in it.
What would it be worth in its current condition, it works well but hasn't been serviced for quite a few years (probably 8-10)

Very nice, and completely original - including the crown. It's quite an early one, approx 1950, with the desirable 'wide lugs'. The bracelet alone is worth £100 +. If you sold the watch on eBay with the bracelet I would expect it to go for approx. £300- £350.

1950s? Wow! Earlier than she thought.

Get it serviced, do nothing else. A lot of collectors value the patina that you can see on that dial.
50's is correct.
Value will be dependent on condition of the insides.

Take a look on ebay on for value. £300 ish.

Lastly, completely unrelated to monetary value, have you checked with your Aunt to ensure that she doesn't have a sentimental connection to these? As noble as the idea of selling them on to help her out is, you may upset her by disposing of her late husband's cherished watches. In her eyes it may have been a great honour for you to inherit these treasured items. Not trying to sway you either way.

its a fair point but its quite ok with her, shes asked me to dispose of these two, i am wearing the Omega seamaster he wore daily that he wanted me to have. she found these two in a box of broken more modern watches, and was almost at the point of binning the lot before she looked closely and realised they were a good make. he also left me his gun collection which i am using, these two items were not in his study with all his favourite items. all his other affairs were in good order, for some reason some years ago he's put these two in his box of bits and didnt sort them.
