I have a little over £2k to spend on a voucher. I'd preferably like to put it towards something that is likely to appreciate (difficult I know). I'd also like something automatic and small too as I've a small wrist. I currently have a couple of mid size Tags and also an Omega Geneve (inherited and doesn't suit me at all so may sell).

Your thoughts appreciated

A simple one to answer – it isn’t going to happen.
Whatever you buy will be worth less than you paid for it, much less in TAG Heuer’s case (by and large).
Get what you like and just enjoy it.

Tudor Black Bay Bronze? think they're going to be around £2700 but going off the hype around them I can see them being sort after in the short term at least.

Can't understand how the Tudor Black Bay Bronze will be sought after myself - it doesn't look anything special to my eye. I cannot understand how so many watches are being made year on year, there are literally hundreds of thousands on eBay. Younger folk tend not to wear them relying instead on their phones/iPods.

Still got the voucher to spend - if I could buy sovereigns instead I would. Don't think I can use it on pre owned either (which would at least make for better value for money.

A used Rolex Submariner if they have one in their used section (in the window, usually). Will always go up in value steadily, should at least keep up with inflation.

Possible exception, buy with the vouchers, don’t wear or do anything to the watch, then return it a week later – possibly easier if done online.
That may generate a credit note, which won’t be limited against what it can be spent on.

ALWAYS ASK FOR DISCOUNT!!

Ive had the Black Bay Bronze, owned it less than a day and it was sold. Its looks great on the wrist but looks quite big on me with it measuring 43mm.

Rang and enquired about a discount but they flatly refused because the credit is on a Hallmark card. Looked at the Omega Seamaster it's £2770 in Goldsmiths yet available online at £2215 - profiteering barstewards!

If anyone is considering a purchase from these guys and is a little short of the total they need I'll listen to sensible offers for the card.

If you look hard enough, can get the omega for 2k.
