Meeting at "Walkabout Southampton"
Discussion
G’day Rev Heads,
Just been down to talk to the Guy’s about our Horse Power Invasion on the Walkabout Southampton.
Russell the Manager was out, so I had a chat to Steve the Assistant Manager. I told him about the HSV Drivers Club & The Holden UK Reg, I gave him the Web address & said to look on the Forum for us. He said it sounds great and has no problem with us coming down. He said he would talk to Russell about it. He also said that he could advertise it for us. Maybe we could get a small poster done Paul so I can put it up down there. Can you get something done for us Jason?
Only thing is parking, as I said only room for about 2 cars in the beer Garden at the back, plus that’s the fire exit so it has to be clear. There is a single yellow line out the front and room for about 7 cars in a line for a photo. Shouldn’t be a problem especially on a Sunday. There is a Very Good Multi Story car park at he back over looking the Beer Garden, (if it’s hot!)
East Street Car Park
£1.40 up to 2hrs
£2.10 up to 3hrs
£2.80 up to 4 hrs Not much to pay for the afternoon hay.
Also just outside the Beer Garden, room for 5 cars at,
£1.20 per hr.
A Sunday sounds good to me, What about Sunday 27th March, (Easter Sunday) Steve said the only promotions they have for that day are in the evening.
The Walkabout opens at 12 Noon and has Good food at a Good price. Try the Kangaroo Mate! (I don't mean that one I had at the Ace), ha ha.
So just let us know what Day & Who wants to come along so I can get a few things organised, then we can get together and show Southampton some REAL Cars.
Regards,
Rob Apsey.
