Wondered if it was any of you guys?
I was in Wycombe yesterday when i saw an 83Y registered 911 carrera in white. I think the wording carrera down the side was in green but i cant be sure.
This car was quick, i would hasten to add probably (from where i was sat) one of the quickest cars i've seen in a while. It definately wasnt standard and sounded awesome. so guys who, what, where, when, why and how? I need to know as I just gotta have one it was pure class.

I am based in Wycombe, but mine is a red 964RS. The white one sounds like it may be known to Autofarm - they specialise in these older, but fast, 911s.

If that '73 RS lightweight is the one I think it is the engine is basically a full 2.8 RSR spec lump. Build cost £30k plus i think. Ive driven that engine in another 911 and it is very nippy, it revs to 8 grand and sounds bloomin lovely.

oh funkyboogalooo i forgot if is the car i think it is, its a genuine RHD '73 lightweight and you'd better have deep pockets coz they start in the £100k area for real ones....(then plus that RSR engine) Fancy going that quick on a budget? build an RS replica on a later 911 and shove a later quick engine in it. I know Jim at JM autos had a cutomer who wanted a 993 twin turbo lump in a '73 RS replica but based on an SC!!! the car would probabally bend in half if he gave it full welly!!

I have been thinking lately about having a '73 RS rep based on a cheap & tatty 964. I don't think it been done yet in the UK as usually SC's or earlier cars are used.
Pref pick up a 964C2 (or go C4 if ya still want to hoon about in the winter!!) that has been in a light front end smash as you need to add pre impact bumper model wings, bonnet & crossmember then add the GRP front & rear bumpers & the ducktail & the stickers and bung a set of Fuch's on there & its a near exterior match. You could do all this & up the easily tweakable 964 engine up to a whisker off 300bhp (or more if you motec it) for not a lot of cash. All achivbeable for less that the depreciation on a new 996tt....
