Not many porker owners only have one motor, and in my experience if its an older ie pre 996 age porker the more mad the Porsche, the more normal the everyday car.
So far from track day chats over a cuppa, the most popular car with the well heeled RS porker owner who does lots of business miles, is the BMW 330d. Other popular wagons seem to be Rovers (usually diesel) or VW Golfs from Mk2 to new (MK4?) excluding the lucky swine ive recently met who uses his GT3 for the track and his 996turb for business!!

So im just wondering unless you commute by train/foot/motorbike/plane, or have a hareem of automotive exotica, what the most popular 'other car' is to the PH'ers.

Currently own an '86 Carrera and up until a week ago (when I sold it) I also had a 1990 Lotus Elan SE. I now rely on the 911 to behave itself and be as reliable as my Lotus was.

5 Series BMW - Fits the Wife and Daughter (the Wife objects to my Daughter going in the boot of the Boxster.) - very boring and underpowered, maybe if I fitted a trailer to the Boxster....?

- 964 RS for fun.

- Rover 414i 5-door hatchback to remind me how fun the RS is.

'The more exciting the first car, the more boring the second' seems to apply here.

Interestingly, Geroge, the previous owner of my RS, is getting a 330 as a sensible car - but it is a Ci.

I know I shouldn't boast but I also have access to my Mum's Honda Civic 1.4i...

Don't drive it too often though - all that power is very disconcerting
