Afternoon all,

I need a replacement blue alligator/croc strap for a 2001 blue face Monaco. My wallet hasn't recovered from the mugging Tag handed out last time, so does anyone have any recommendations for alternatives? I don't want to go steel, or custom/Toshi, but would prefer to stick with the blue alligator/croc design and existing clasp.

Are these any good? http://www.watchstrapworld.com/watch-straps/tag-he...

Will I need any kind of tools to DIY this?

Any alternative suppliers I should look at?

Many thanks,

Jonathanbr

Hi
I used these guys for a replacement strap for my Monaco a couple of years ago as I couldn't believe the TAG price - went with the blue leather with red stitching for a change but still have the original rather tatty TAG one if I decide to move the watch on.
I bought the tool for £4 or so which made it easy to fit the strap, it all came quickly within 48 hours from memory

Yep got my replacement Monaco leather croc from them. You would be hard pressed to tell the difference from the original.

I had a very good experience buying a leather Hirsch Rally strap through WatchObsession for my Speedy Pro. From memory it was about £30

mroverheads, gtjohn,

Result! ordered on Monday (blue with red stitching), fitted last night. 10 minute job, even with my non-existent DIY skills. Very pleased with the result, especially at 10% of TAG's prices.

Thanks again - really appreciate the info.
