Apologies if this have been done before. I don’t follow football that much.
I was watching BBC news24 last night. When they got to the football news never once did they mention a British name amongst the stories about player and managers and so on.
Are there any home grown footballers any more or do we import them all too.

Have you heard of Rooney? Beckham? Owen? Gerrard? Lampard? Terry?
There is a great influx of foreign players in the english game, but it's inevitable given the amount of money that is in the game through TV revenue.
I£'s a hot topic a£ £he mo, bo£h Chelsea and ArseNIL have fielded £eams with no 'english' players. Mos£ big clubs do have you£h policies for local scro£es.

Yep, the premiership is awash with foreign imports but the championship, divs 1 & 2 contain far fewer.

As I said personally I don’t follow the game. However it is supposed to be the national sport. It’s a shame therefore that the FA and the top Premier League clubs have allowed this situation to develop.
Are any clubs actively involved with training and promoting young players? Or do they simply nip across the channel to buy new players along with some cheap booze.

The FA. Never was an organisation so aptly named.
Not many people realise it but "Mike Bassett, England Manager" was actually a documentary.
