Recommend me a nice pub / restaurant near Falmouth

Staying just outsie Falmouth for a week soon and its the wifes birthday so would like to go out for a nice dinner. We don't like fine dining and prefer gastro pub / steak restaurant etc kind of place.

Considering the Pandora Inn but quite a few recent reviews state that the food isn't amazing and it just relies on its surroundings.

Happy to drive somewhere.

Don't have any particular experience of Falmouth, although Harbour Lights is renowned for good fish and chips.

If you find yourself further north, the Plume of Feathers in Mitchell does a great steak.

We like 5 degrees west or fuel,haven't been recently but heard the Norway inn is good again.

We took the ferry over to Falmouth a few weeks ago from St Mawes and stumbled across Fuel, perfect for a decent and belly busting lunch.

I had the chilli nachos, biggest nachos I've ever seen!

I can recommend Cove, it overlooks Maenporth Beach. Or you could try Wheel House not as smart but great food
