cheap hotel in London - any ideas?

ok need some help here, I need some ideas on a place to stay after a night out on the tiles in London that is going to be as cheap as chips....toilet and bed only required as its a wait for the first train back situation.

i hate the fact trains stop so early in London, especially as i get out of the club around 3 or 4 in morning.

Well if it really is 3 or 4AM then it surely can't be too long before the trains start?

Regent Palace in Picadilly Circus, no frills and cheap but usually full of foreign student totty, ideal when the fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night (which it does quite often).

the one trains don't start till about 7.30 on a sunday, and i have done 3/4 hours at liverpool street before...trust me it sucks so i'd rather shell out for a few hours warmth....but obviously cheap as possible.

Travelodge do a £26 a night deal if you book in advance, not sure whether this applies to london or not.

The g/f works for this crowd www.jurysinn.com and they are defo great value for money - they have 3* hotels in Islington and Chelsea.

There is a brand new travelodge just around the corner from liverpool street. I think it about 40quid if you book early. A mate stayed there after a night out - said it was ok... I think its in New Street, off of Bishopsgate.

try a hostel there much better than most cheap hotels

It's just behind where I work (which is Bishopsgate):

Never been there though so can't comment on quality but it is very close to Liverpool Street.

If you have a miltary or services background the Union Jack Club at Waterloo is fantastic value for a room with shared bathroom at about £34 a night and spotlessly clean and tidy. Cheap bar (for central London).

I use them all the time. In London I get 5* hotels for £60 a night. But you can select 2 stars and I bet you would get one for £25 a night.

When I have done the late night clubbing thing, we usually go to the 24 hour cinemas in Leicester Square.. £10 a ticket, if you are awake you see a film, if you sleep then greeeeeeeat
