Hiring a Chimaera this weekend any comments !

Hi
My 911 Turbo is undergoing a little rebuild at the moment (a kerb strike 8 weeks ago - claim so far £10k engine rebuild still to come poss 9k !!) and as much as I enjoy the Fireblade - dating is sometimes difficult on it !
So I'm hiring a Chimaera 450 this weekend - wanted a Cerbera but couldn't get one !
What should I expect ?

OK. Here's some serious ones...
The Chimaera will not handle like your Porsche. Don't get carried away. If your Porsche is a later one with oodles of clever electronics just remember that the Chimaera was made in Blackpool by men with hammers and it doesn't have any safety aids whatsoever. Slow in. Fast out...and not too early on the power.
If you boot the Chimaera without the wheels being dead straight then you will either spin or the rear end will squirm about disturbingly until you back off. This car has real grunt and no traction control - respect it.
If its wet the above stuff applies FOURFOLD.
But...you will love it. The soundtrack is amazing, the car goes almost unbelievably well and you will have a total hoot.
BTW. It is too small to sh@g in...get a room.

LOL !!!! to all the replies - but surely a BJ is going to be possible - unless that centre console is too high, then again with the roof off - I'll find a way !!!
My 911 Turbo is a 930 - 400 Bhp - no electronics (the headlights work a bit) - but I imagine the TVR is a different beast considering there's no weight on the rear axles.
I'm hiring it from the TVR centre in Barnet. Call Mike 0208 906 0077 - got a good deal because it's a bank holiday. Mention me (JM)

Woof
What Don says is right. Until you have got used to it, I would drive it as if there is an egg under the fun pedal, especially when coming out of roundabouts. The back end will get 'twitchy' if you lay too much power down too quickly. No traction control, no ABS, just the V8, a lot of torque and your ability............
A BJ shouldn't be a problem for you, once you have the roof down you will have to beat them off with a sh*tty stick.
Enjoy it, we look forward to seeing you on the TVR forum in a month or so

re the merrits of shaggin within the confines on the car, would the bonnet be able to take the strain, or would i find two pert butt prints embedded in the fibre glass post coitus ?
The boot would probably be safer! The bonnet is quite flexible so I dont know if it could take the weight (yeah yeah alright charlie) and it does get rather hot as well...
Matt.
