2005 Mustang GT Fuel gage problems

Hello All,

I have recently noticed an issue and wonder if any one had a similar issue or idea what is going on.

when the thank is full, the range available has been reduced from 500 km down to 300 km. When half thank is full, the range is only 140 km or so. Has any one faces a similar problem or have an idea what max be wrong.

The range is worked out on the average MPG, drive slower to bring the average MPG up and the range will go up.

Or just completely ignore on board fuel computers and fill it up when it needs it.

One of my cars, not the Mustang, always says 345 miles to empty when you fill it up. 300 miles later and with half a tank of fuel left it usually says around 180 miles to empty.
