Thruxton Spectator Parking
Discussion
Hi it is a few years since I was last at Thruxton but will be going to watch BTCC next weekend and was wondering what the roads in and car parking is like. My car is quite low and if it's too rough may have problems. I have been to Castle Combe several times and parked on the grass there without problems.
Any advice appreciated. Cheers

Car park management getting out is terrible. Took us at least an hour to get out on the Sunday last year
. I'll be watching it on the tv this year...
Knockhill is the same, usually. They tried to stagger things a wee bit last year by putting on a wee gig by a Blondie tribute band inside the hairpin, but I would say less than 100 people went to watch it - and we still had a bit of a queue before we got out.
Thruxton is a nightmare to get out of with the btcc mix in rain and you have a mud bath. But weather looks dry all week so that shouldn't be a problem. However either make it so your walking down and out during the last few laps of the last btcc race then get out asap or wait for gaps to appear in the car park and drive in between the lines of parked cars to the exit can save loads of time getting out.
