SPORTS EXHAUST FOR BOXSTER 'S'!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Discussion
Hi all,
have been browsing through past threads and see lots of threads on 911 exhaust but none on the boxster. Is there anyone out there with a sports exhaust, preferably fitted to a boxster S. Have been looking at one by Hayward and Scott, has anyone got one are they any good?
Comments appreciated guys
Cheers

H+S have an excellent reputation for Subaru and Evo exhausts but I've never heard any reports on the Boxster S. I bought one of their exhausts for a Subaru I had and it was almost a work of art, my next door neighbour even had them make one for his LandRover!
As always HP gains will vary depending on how restrictive current system is. If you do get/try one I would love to know what difference it makes and how noisy it is.

You most certainly can get Sports Exhausts for a Boxster S. Some bloke was selling one right here on PH only a few months back. I think Porsche actually do one as an option on new cars...
BUT.
Careful - it may mean your car is too loud for track days without an additional silencer.
IMO the character of the standard exhaust is great anyway - suits the sophistication of the car - quiet around town but makes a great howl on track...

Guys, Hayward and scott definately do a sports exhaust for the boxster. I have looked on their website www.haywardandscott.co.uk and if you go to the case study page, they have a report from a customer who bought a sports exhaust from them.
Maybe if the man in question browses these pages, would he like to step forward and make a comment?

"lee77" did a post recently on an exhaust & airfilter upgrade on a 996TT.
There is a guy called "manu" on the Ferrari board that brings in TUBI exhausts for Ferraris and Porsches.
Might be worth speaking to the company that lee77 used and manu's company (his company is listed in his profile).
Only one other comment, if you want to do trackdays you don't want anything louder than 95db.
There's loads of choice out there!!
