Right, well, I'm posting this in the full and certain knowledge that to some extent I'm putting myself on offer here and that I won't like some of the replies biggrin

However, I don't seem to have many other viable options. I'd like to find the above car/plate/owner, with a view to purchasing (both if necessary). I'm given to believe that the car model mentioned above is where the plate currently resides, but there is no record of it on the MOT database, suggesting that it may have been off the road for some time. I've already tried the Cappucino forum with no success

So there it is, out there. Can you help? Do you know where it is? Is it in fact on another car and my information is incorrect?

You are of course most welcome to post unhelpful replies; in fact as I mentioned above, I rather expect them. But hey, be creative. Be clever. Don't make yourself look silly now, eh? wink

Erm, I have a feeling one of my old team mates has that plate and it's not on a Suzuki Cappucino, his name is Chris Cappuccini. If it's not that reg it's something very similar (like C14 PPO).

I saw him last year in the paddock at Brands but sadly don't have his number!

That Capuccino has also been L898VAP and is L898VAP again - and is subject to a SORN.

Looks like the plate has moved on. Using another obvious check, it looks like it's either on retention or on another SORNed car.

Not entirely sure purchasing car owners is legal at the moment, you might want to check on that wink

I would have thought a trawl of FB may have been more effective potentially ... I had a feeling this was the plate you would be after when I saw the tracing thread the other day ... I would get economical with the truth with the DVLA or a friend/friend of a friend is bound to have some police or insurance connections!

Searching the plate on here

http://www.ukvehicle.com/c4ppo/

Brings up that it was previously on L898 VAP

Searching on L898 VAP it comes up as on a SORN so the plate may have been taken off prior to putting it on a SORN.

Not much use but may help?

Edit: all mentioned above, that'll teach me for hitting reply and then going searching!

Thanks guys. I got the previous plate info but I didn't glean from that site that the Cappucino was back on the L plate.

Hmm, shame that site isn't up to date, it might be easier to trace if I knew what car it was on.

Whatever it's on (if anything) isn't insured.

Not unless it's got this plate, thanks, buying the car is only a consideration if it's the only way to swing a deal!

Old thread, but I've just seen it. Was reminiscing about our Cappuccino and argument ensued about the year we got it. Searched online and saw this thread.
We gave the Cappuccino to a friend's son who he restores cars, that was a few years ago, It went back onto its original number L898 VAP.
We still have C4PPO is on retention.

@CAPPO
I've changed my settings. I started a new account to send you the message and just had default setting. I haven't posted on these forums for a vey long time and my original username was on an old email address I no longer have.
