Classic range rover insurance
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I have recently acquired a classic range rover and am having some issues with drainage of water the drivers side passenger door was actually filled with water and very slowly drained out, I am guessing this is a seal which I will get rectified.
The car has some corrosion around the tops of the doors the bonnet and I am having the chassis inspected but I wondered if anyone has any novel ways of improving drainage of water?
Thanks
Brooke

The drainage holes in the bottom of the door are blocked & need cleaning out.
The waist seals won't stop rain getting into the door. It runs down the glass, past the seals & into the door. Then drips off the rail that the bottom of the window clips in & to the bottom of the door. If the plastic weather sheets that should be stuck to the door frame behind the door card are missing or damaged then it will run down the back of the doorcards and drip into the car filling the footwells - a common cause of much headscratching on many cars as to where the water is coming from. (On mine they were missing altogether & I could have kept fish in the front footwells!) If the weather sheet is present then the water should exit via the drain holes in the bottom of the door.
